SUNSTOP – reflective insulation

SUNSTOP is Dependable Steel’s reflective insulation product, which is designed to be used in conjunction with SmartClad roof and wall cladding.

Bulk insulating products, such as rockwood, PU foam and sandwich panel work by isolating and reducing heat transfer between the outside and inside of the shed.SUNSTOP however,  is a reflective insulation product, and works by reflecting a large proportion of heat radiation away from the structure greatly reducing internal temperatures. It consists of an internal layer of foam, or plastic bubbles sandwiched between two layers of pure aluminium. SUNSTOP offers a number of advantages over bulk insulating products:

• Negligible heat retention and re emission

• Non-toxic / non-carcinogenic

• Does not absorb moisture

• No protective clothing or respirators to install

• Fire Resistant

• Durable and lightweight

• Can be cut with ordinary scissors
